When we are born with the GIFT of spiritual ‘Mediumship’, we tend to come across spirits which have moved onto the spirit world and spirits which have been grounded on this earth.

I can remember as a child being able to see spirit people at my parents’ house yet they were unable to see or hear them. I was 5 years old then!

Through word of mouth I now receive calls from strangers asking me for my services.

This brings me to the occasion when I was invited to a young couple's home who had 2 young children. They informed me that they were at their wits end and believed that there was a bad spirit (Poltergeist) present in their home who had started frightening their children and moving their beds. The woman told me that the spirit was ‘manhandling’ her when she was in bed with her husband and her husband was unable to help while it was happening.

They informed me that I was the second medium they had invited to their home for help. This type of confrontation with a bad spirit is very dangerous to the Medium and can have terrible results if it is not carried out with care.

For anonymity purposes I will refer to couple as John and Mary.

Before going, I asked my Guides for help, who told me what to do and what to expect. They assured me that this was going to be extremely tough and that I should be very careful and be on my guard as the Poltergeist would try to hit me on the head.

At the House:
As soon as I entered the house I walked around and immediately sensed an evil ‘presence’. I asked the couple to immediately remove the 2 children from the house. I then asked John to show me where most of the Poltergeist activity had occurred. He and his wife both refused to show me upstairs through fear. After reassuring them that I was there to help them they gingerly followed me upstairs.

In the process of going upstairs I sensed a presence on the Landing which appeared as a very dark shadow moving across the landing. It was as if it was preparing to ‘do battle’ with me. Immediately, I asked John and Mary to go downstairs and leave me to it. I was concerned for their safety. I continued toward the landing to confront the entity.

I asked “Who are you and what do you want in this house”

The entity at this point would not communicate with me. I kept repeating my question, when suddenly the entity passed right through me and went downstairs. The feeling I experienced as he passed through me was an evil cold chill that I have never experienced before. I followed it downstairs into the Lounge where I found Mary shivering and crying with fear. I told her to leave the premises for her own safety.

So now there was only the 3 of us left in the house, me, John and the entity.

The Lounge was about 25ft long with a wooden floor, open plan. John remained standing at the entrance of the room and I was by the front window. The entity became visibly clearer and was standing at the far end of the room opposite me. I could see that the entity was a male of about 60-65 years old with a very large head, balding on top with short hair on the sides, side burns and had prominent features. He was wearing what looked like a very dirty old long coat. He was staring straight at me, at which point I spoke to him and said, “Who are you and what do you want?”

Reply – “I want her”

“Who?”

The entity kept pointing towards the wall which was where Mary had gone to her neighbour.

“This is not your home, and you don’t belong here, you have to leave now!”

At that point the entity pushed the wooden dining chair across the floor towards me (approximately 10 ft). When John saw the chair fly he ran out the front door. I repeated once again, “Who are you, and what is your name?“

Begrudgingly, he finally disclosed his name as Jack. When I asked him for his surname he refused to tell me and shouted only ‘Jack’.

“Is this your house?”

Reply: “No"

“You can not stay here; you have to go towards the light”

This made him very angry and his voice became louder. I then asked John to confirm if this situation was the same at their previous house, to which he confirmed with his wife that it was the same there.

The entity told me that he had followed Mary to their new home. At this point I realised that Mary had been experimenting with a Ouija board and had stirred up the bad spirit that had followed her. I left the house to speak to Mary to confirm my suspicions that she had been experimenting with the Ouija board at her previous house. She confirmed that her and a few friends had been ‘dabbling’ with it, trying to communicate with spirit.

On my return to the room a coaster made of glass flew by my head, just missing me and John who was behind me, smashing into the mirror on the wall shattering it. Now I realised how angry he was, and I told him that I was not going to leave until he had gone completely. I then recited the Lords prayer.

My Spirit guide (Maggie) had told me that Jack was a murderer in the 1880’s and had died in prison. He had murdered 4 women in a very gruesome manner. I realised I had to help him pass over to the other side whether he wanted to go or not. There was no doubt in my mind that he had to go.

An hour had now elapsed and Jack was refusing to go. He carried on verbally abusing me, telling me he was going to kill me then kill Mary. He was a misogynist.

I called my warrior guide Titan at this point, as I was worried for my own safety, (Titan was a soldier during the Trojan era, and when he appears he is in full battle dress including a very frightening head dress that covers most of his face. He is very tall, intimidating and can be threatening.)

Titan appeared and placed himself between myself and Jack. They stared at each other and I saw Jack withdraw backwards slightly. Titan’s appearance seemed to confuse him temporarily and he went quiet. I once again asked for protection and for Jack to be led to the light. I visualised a light behind Jack and asked Titan to lead him towards the light.

Repeating the Lords prayer and asking constantly for protection from the higher realms, Titan moved towards Jack and in response Jack slowly backed into the vortex of light that I had visualised. Suddenly and unexpectedly, he disappeared and the vortex of light ceased to exist.

I then called Mary and John back to the house. Together we prayed and I requested protection for the home. Within 5 minutes of this the atmosphere to the house had changed. It had taken 2.5 hours for me to clear the house of this evil entity.

I asked the couple to go through the house and see how they felt. Reluctantly, together we went from room to room until they informed me that they felt no presence and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. Mary was overcome with emotion and cried with relief.

Before I left, I advised John to burn the Ouija board that they still kept in the garage immediately.

My advice to anyone who is interested in The Paranormal, never to experiment with a Ouija board. If we try to contact a loved one by this method we open the door to all spirits to come through, bad or good.

Finally, a year on, John and Mary are living peacefully without any further happenings.
